CRAIG: 8:00 Survivor; 9:00 Bull; 10:00 Criminal Minds
SHILO: 8:00 Survivor; 9:00 SEAL Team; 10:00 Criminal Minds
CRAIG: I’m pretty sure Criminal Minds will be back for at least what might be their last go-round. I also think Bull could withstand a move this season, and it might be that nice thing to go right after Survivor and before Criminal Minds. So, there you have it.
SHILO: CBS has all the cast of Criminal Minds under contract for next season, so I think the traditionally tense negotiations between them and co-producer ABC Studios shouldn’t be too tenuous this year. They have additional motivation in keeping the show around considering how well it transitioned to 10:00 and the bad PR that would come from cancelling it on A) episode #299 and B) a cliffhanger. As far as SEAL Team, I think that it absolutely should move to Sundays, but I don’t have any confidence that they’re going to mess with it considering how much they like it, the precedent of them not moving sophomore dramas, and the need for them to launch Magnum, which would run into the skew problem that SEAL Team did if launched on a weeknight. With there not being any other drama in development that fits between Survivor and Criminal Minds (e.g. FBI wouldn’t go against another Dick Wolf drama in SVU, God Friended Me -> Criminal Minds would be rough, Chiefs has zero buzz, etc.), I think they hold pat and wait until midseason to make any moves.
