Zap2It.com has been too, and they caught up with the prolific producer for some news.
“There’s no real deal in place yet, but yeah, my intent is to take a stab at it,” Kelley told the site. “I’ve been working on it between scripts for Harry’s Law. It’s a very, very different genre for me, a very tricky beast. I won’t know whether I’ve cracked it or not until I’ve finished it, but it’s going.”
“I’m at the point where I’m trying to figure out if I can make the franchise work for me. If I can’t, I don’t want to delude Warner Bros. or anybody else that I should be doing it. The way I’ve always worked has been to write a script and discover, in the process of the writing, if it’s a fertile and creative place where I want to live. If I feel I can make the characters my own and it’s a world rich enough for me to revisit, that’s a good sign to me that it’s a series worth doing,” he continued.
Kelley is very immersed in writing Harry’s Law, and acknowledges that he’ll have to focus in order to truly discover if Wonder Woman is a right fit for him. “That’s a challenge, because it’s kind of a busy time,” he says.
Sounds like this isn’t something that will be ready for Fall 2011 after all.

Havent we been at this point in developement before with Joss Whedon? Well at least he was certain about this character and its world. Kelleys lack of certainty and love for the character makes me desperately wish that he wont end up making it.
It is kind of concerning.
Kal-Zod, you have a very strong point. Taking it a step further, it is clear that Whedon has had interest in Wonder Woman so he surely has ideas.
But since he’s currently helming Marvel’s Avengers, I doubt he’d want to go to “the other side” with DC at this point. :( Too bad. Although some of Joss Whedon’s work like Dollhouse didn’t wow me, I think he’d do a great job with Wonder Woman.
Yeah WW would be exactly Whedons cup of tea. a strong female character with a great supporting cast (which Whedon could expand with creations of his own).
But yeah the man is way too busy already. Not just the Avengers movie but also the upcoming Buffy Season 9 comic book-series which consists of 2 main series and 2 mini-series. That´ll take a lot of his time^^ maybe after yet another unpleasant experience with Fox Joss just lost interest in doing TV-shows for now. Who could blame him
Really. Why is it so damn hard to make wonder woman. I think people are ready for wonder woman. Is anybody sick of the same old lame ass Batman and Superman movies, Come on take a chance Wonder Woman would be great.
” Is WonderWoman or any other heroines ever gonna have their turn on tv in this century”.All we ever see is male hero after male hero , the world needs a WonderWoman!
