FOX released the trailer for upcoming mob drama The Cleaning Lady and in it, we see a woman willing to do anything to get her son the help he needs.

Based on Argentinian format La Chica Que Limpia with Miranda Kwok (The 100) developing for television, The Cleaning Lady follows a whip-smart Cambodian doctor who comes to the U.S. for a medical treatment to save her ailing son. However, when the system fails and pushes her into hiding, she refuses to be beaten down and marginalized. Instead, she takes up a life in organized crime, using her cunning and intelligence to forge her own path in the criminal underworld.

The series stars Elodie Yung (The Hitman’s Bodyguard), Adan Canto (Designated Survivor), Martha Millan (The OA) and newcomers Valentino and Sebastien LaSalle. Previously attached to the series were Shannyn Sossamon (Wayward Pines), Ginger Gonzaga (Kidding), and Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire).

The Cleaning Lady is set to air midseason on FOX. You can check out the network’s full fall 2021 schedule here.
