FOX released the trailer for upcoming mockumentary Welcome to Flatch and in it, we see a quirky small town through the eyes of two of its residents.
Inspired by acclaimed BBC comedy This Country with Jenny Bicks (Sex and the City) developing for television, Welcome to Flatch follows a documentary crew as they set out to explore the lives of residents in a small American town – their dreams, their concerns – and stumble upon the midwestern town of Flatch. Made up of many eccentric personalities, it’s a place you want to visit and maybe even stay. If there was a decent motel. Which there is not.
The series stars newcomers Chelsea Holmes (I Love My Upstairs Neighbor), Sam Straley (The Kids Are Alright), Seann William Scott (Lethal Weapon), Aya Cash (You’re The Worst), Taylor Ortega (Succession), Justin Linville (Rushed), and newcomer Krystal Smith.
Welcome to Flatch is set to air midseason on FOX. You can check out the network’s full fall 2021 schedule here.
Will you be watching? Do you think the show will be able to be funny while avoiding punching down on its characters and setting? If you’ve seen the original series, how does the trailer for Welcome to Flatch compare?

Yes, I will watch it because one of the main stars wears Columbus Crew shirts in several scenes!
