NBC has revealed when to expect its schedule to return back to normal upon the calendar turning to 2018.
In the absence of The Voice, military drama The Brave is first out of the gate with a New Years Day premiere, likely so that it can get every episode in before the Olympics. The remainder of the first week of 2018 follows in line, with every scripted show returning on their respective days and in their respective slots. However, Friday is not only delayed a week, it will see the second season premiere of Taken when things get back to normal January 12th.
Taken was renewed for a second season as a result of its relative inexpense and solid international reception, though it was retooled and eventually pushed off the fall schedule.
NBC should be announcing its plans for midseason, including how they’ll be using the Olympic launchpad, in the coming weeks. Until then, check out when to expect their lineups to return below.
