Cast and crew members from The CW’s The Originals went from New Orleans to San Diego for this year’s Comic-Con.
Now, it’s time for us to start sharing some our video interviews from the Originals press room roundtables, isn’t it?
So, to start, we’ll start with Executive Producer Julie Plec, who talks about why it’s not good to be a vampire in New Orleans right about now.
“New Orleans has been shaken to its core, the supernatural community, when we get to Season 2,” Plec says. “The vampires have been basically decimated, and those that remaned have been exiled out of the quarter. They’re literally not allowed to be in the quarter, under punishment of death. So, Marcel has taken up across the river, and is basically in exile, and the Originals have sort of closed the gates to their compound, because they’re ‘selling their grief,’ and those damn wolves, with their moonlight rings, under the control of Francesca Guerrera, are ruling the roost, and have made an alliance with the witches.”
Here’s the video, where she also talks about some new and returning characters in Originals Season 2, as well as several other spoilery subjects:
