On Saturday night, KSiteTV’s Craig Byrne was able to speak with Stephen Amell and Arrow executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg in interviews that will be rolled out in the coming days, both here and on our dedicated Arrow portal GreenArrowTV.

The show premieres October 10 on The CW and as much as the premiere, fans of television are excited to see Torchwood fan favorite John Barrowman as he comes onto the series in a recurring role known only as “The Well-Dressed Man.”

At the Paley Center event which included a screening of the show’s pilot and a Q&A, we tried to find out more details from Arrow Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg… starting with the question: is this a character like the “Cigarette Smoking Man” on The X-Files, who didn’t get a real name for a while, or is “Well-Dressed Man” simply a code to avoid revealing something else?

“He has a name,” Kreisberg confirms. “He has a first name, and he has a last name. He might have a middle name; I’m not sure. But we’ll definitely find out who he is sooner rather than later. It’s a great surprise, and we’re very proud of it, and we’re excited for people to see it. We’ve just started seeing the dailies with John Barrowman, which for me as a life-long Doctor Who fan, it’s just phenomenal that we have him.”

Another tidbit we were able to find out: Arrow lead actor Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) hasn’t had a scene with Barrowman yet! “I haven’t worked with him yet! Which is not to say that I won’t,” he teases, adding a hint with a simple “Soon.”

  1. For some reason, I still want to say “Bruce Wayne” but I know that it can’t be him :(
