Deadline is reporting that Victorious alum Elizabeth Gillies has joined The CW’s upcoming Dynasty reboot. She’s set to play Fallon Carrington, the daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington who’s struggled to connect with her father since her mother abandoned the family.
Executive produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl, The OC), Dynasty tells the story of the family feud between the Carringtons and Colbys as they battle for control of their children and their immense fortune. The series primarily chronicles the conflict between Fallon and Cristal (UnREAL‘s Nathalie Kelley), a Hispanic woman marrying into a family of well-off WASPs. Fallon thinks Cristal is too young for her father and doesn’t want anyone to try and replace her mother, let alone someone whose motives for loving her father come into question.
In addition to her role on the Nickelodeon comedy, Gillies has appeared on the likes of Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, Big Time Rush, and White Collar.
Dynasty is one of six pilots The CW has in contention this season, joining fantasy-themed Searchers, military drama Valor, cancer dramedy Life Sentence, beauty pageant drama Insatiable, and DC-verse entrant Black Lightning. Decisions on which pilots will be picked up will be made later this spring, while casting should intensify over the next few weeks.
