Deadline is reporting that Whiskey Cavalier alum Scott Foley will star in FOX pilot The Big Leap.

From Liz Heldens (The Passage), The Big Leap revolves around a group of aspiring, underdog dancers from all walks of life who compete to be part of a competition reality series that is putting on a modern remake of Swan Lake. If ordered, the series would follow the dancers as they chase their dreams and attempt to find their way into the spotlight.

Foley will play slick reality TV producer Nick Smart, who delights in the inherent drama of show-within-a-show The Big Leap while not totally losing his conscience.

The Big Leap is one of only four drama pilots in contention at FOX for 2020-21, joining procedural Blood Relative, about a pioneer in the field of genetic genealogy (Melissa Leo); The Cleaning Lady, which follows a Filipina doctor who comes to the United States seeking medical help for her son only to end up working for the mob; and an untitled series centering on a substitute teacher who helps three students make a shot-for-shot remake of The Goonies.

In addition to his role on the ABC drama, Foley’s television credits include Scandal, Felicity, and The Unit. He joins a cast that includes Simone Recasner, Jon Rudnitsky, Teri Polo  Matt Lucas, Ser’Darius Blain, and Ray Cham
