Ashley Reyes joins the cast of Jared Padalecki‘s CW TV series Walker with the March 3 episode which introduces her character as Cassie Perez. We’ll have a longer interview to post with her prior to the episode airing, but since March 1 is the birthday of Padalecki’s Supernatural co-star Jensen Ackles, today felt like the right time to share some quotes about Ackles’ recent visit to direct Walker as well as her own history with Jared’s previous show.
As mentioned before, Jensen Ackles recently directed an episode of Walker and there has been word that some infamous pranks have been set between the two TV “brothers.” So, of course we had to ask Ashley – Jared’s latest co-star – what it was like to see him reunited with his longest-running one.
“When they are together, I’m surprised we got any work done,” Ashley laughed. “They’re so much fun, but they’re like brothers. And the pranks… there might be some videos coming out – you’ll see – of some pranks that were played,” she teased. It sounds as though there may be some Easter eggs in store for Supernatural fans as well.
And had Ashley Reyes been a Supernatural fan herself?
“I had watched almost every episode of Supernatural on silent, because I was bartending and it used to play in the bar, but there was no sound,” Ashley revealed. “So, I’ve seen like every episode of Supernatural, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard an episode of Supernatural.”
And now, of course, Ashley gets to shoot scenes in a fake bar with Jared Padalecki. “It’s pretty surreal,” she admitted.
