The CW has opted to cancel military thriller Valor after one season, the network confirmed today.

The writing has been on the wall for while regarding Valor‘s renewal hopes, as the show wasn’t given an extension beyond its initial 13-episode order and multiple actors involved with the project took roles in pilots. Even with CW president Mark Pedowitz a huge proponent for a military show on the network and The CW expanding its schedule to Sundays next fall, the show didn’t perform well enough, and didn’t have enough outside factors in its favor, to put itself in consideration for 2018-19.

One of three military-themed series to premiere this season, Valor starred Christina Ochoa (Blood Drive), Matt Barr (Sleepy Hollow), Charlie Barnett (Secrets and Lies), W. Tre Davis (Shades of Blue), Corbin Reid (How to Get Away with Murder), Nigel Thatch (Selma), and Melissa Roxburgh (Legends of Tomorrow).

The series finale of Valor aired this past January on The CW.
