The new episode of The Librarians that will be airing tonight (December 21) is called “The Librarians and Santa’s Midnight Run” and directing the episode is starship commander William Riker of the U.S.S. Enterprise — or, as we know him in the real world, Jonathan Frakes, who has recently gone on record as saying he’d like to direct Star Trek 3.

When the Serpent Brotherhood wants to kill Santa, the Librarians must rescue him and help him accomplish the true, secret purpose of Christmas.
