Series nominations for the 2017 Monte Carlo TV Festival Golden Nymph Awards were revealed today and in terms of broadcast television, only two shows made the cut – CW apocalyptic rom com No Tomorrow (which you should stream on Netflix if you haven’t already) and NBC workplace comedy Superstore. Neither has received much in the way of award support thus far, so their inclusion is a bit of a surprise, especially since the festival’s nominees are culled from international productions as well as domestic.

Among the cable/streaming entries that are recognizable to American viewers are Hulu miniseries 11.22.63; PBS royalty drama Victoria; Showtime finance drama Billions; and HBO’s The Young Pope, which stars Jude Law and Diane Keaton.

Last year, the Golden Nymphs in the series categories were given to Better Call Saul and River, while acting awards were handed to Catastrophe‘s Sharon Horgan, Marcia Gay Harden from Code Black (the only broadcast winner), Deutschland 83‘s Jonas Ray, and Better Call Saul front man Bob Odenkirk. Acting nominations for the 2017 festival should be out in the coming weeks.

The 2017 Monte Carlo TV Festival is set to run from June 16-20, with the awards to be handed out on closing night.
