CBS All Access has revealed that sex magick drama Strange Angel will premiere Thursday, June 14th, with additional episodes available every Thursday on the streaming service.

Based on George Pendle’s novel of the same name and developed for television by Mark Heyman (Black Swan), Strange Angel tells the story of Jack Parsons (Jack Reynor), an ambitious blue-collar worker who falls into a mysterious world of sex magick rituals led by occultist Aleister Crowley. Parsons then attempts to use Crowley’s teachings to guide his dreams of heading into space.

In addition to Reynor, Strange Angel stars Rupert Friend (Homeland), Michael Gaston (The Mentalist), Zack Pearlman (The Intern), Bella Heathcote (The Man in the High Castle), and Greg Wise (The Crown).

The series joins a growing scripted slate at CBS All Access that includes Good Wife spinoff The Good Fight, Star Trek: Discovery, and Will Ferrell-produced comedy No Activity. Still to come on All Access are small town drama $1, fairy tale thriller Tell Me a Story, and a Twilight Zone revival spearheaded by Get Out director Jordan Peele.
