A new episode of DC’s Stargirl airs tonight (September 7) at 8PM ET/PT on The CW (see some pictures here)… and tonight’s show features the return of actor Hunter Sansone as Cameron Mahkent, son of Icicle. For two seasons already, fans have wanted to see his character and Brec Bassinger‘s Courtney Whitmore together… and that might be just around the corner.
“Camney… finally! It just took three seasons, but we finally get it,” Bassinger told us prior to the launch of Season 3. “I am so happy for audiences to finally get that. It has been such a slow burn from Season 1, so to finally get some clarity, closure, and just satisfaction with their relationship [is great].”
However, that doesn’t mean it will be smooth sailing for Stargirl and Icicle Jr. “Obviously there’s a lot of history there, with Courtney, and Cameron’s father Icicle. There’s definitely some some guilt and struggles with what Courtney can and can’t tell him, and what she wants to tell him, but feels like she shouldn’t but should…. the relationship is not smooth, to say the least,” Brec teased.
