Earlier this week, Hulu presented Marvel’s Runaways during the Cable portion of the Television Critics Association press tour, and after the Q&A, we caught up with Executive Producer Josh Schwartz (The O.C.) in the scrum to ask a burning question: Will we see the dinosaur “Old Lace” on the series?
“‘How do you do Runaways without Old Lace?’ is how I would answer that question,” is what Schwartz said when asked about Gert’s best pal.
Schwartz was then asked by a journalist unfamiliar with the comics if the parents of the characters – known as “The Pride” – might be Marvel villains that we know, which was of course a “no,” but we did push on that to ask, if we see Victor Mancha, if he will have his original parentage from the comics.
This was an answer Josh Schwartz wasn’t as forthcoming about.
“I can’t go there. I’m sorry,” he said.
