CRAIG: I think 9PM is a very smart move for Agents of SHIELD, and should open up some possibilities for the show. I still think SHIELD faces some challenges, and it might not have been the right concept for Marvel to come out the door with, though bringing in characters like Mockingbird (to be played by Adrianne Palicki) should be a good start. I also hope that the new Avengers sequel doesn’t hold back the show in the same way Captain America: The Winter Soldier did. But, I’m hopeful.
Being at 9PM also gets the show away from a Marvel vs. DC fight at 8PM, where The CW airs The Flash; though I can’t help but think there will be some crossover audience between Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and Supernatural. Also, while the monster that is NCIS is now out of the way, SHIELD will now have to deal with the newly-minuted NCIS: Quantum Leap spin-off, set in New Orleans and starring Scott Bakula, Zoe McClellan, and CCH Pounder, all three actors who are fairly popular, including to geek types.

Utopia is failing so far in ratings, so I’d say yes, it’s a bomb.
