THIS is the news we’ve wanted… The CW has renewed both The Carrie Diaries and Nikita for second and fourth seasons, respectively. Some reports are suggesting that the renewals will be for less than 22-episode full seasons.

Surely more details will come between now and the announcement of the Fall schedule on May 16. Both shows have been big favorites around these parts, and it will be great to see them coming back. With this, almost every show on our proposed schedule will be on tap for the 2013-2014 season… not bad.

These renewals follow several new CW series pick-ups that were announced earlier today. Now let’s see how the actual schedule turns out, but one thing’s for sure… we’re happy both of these series will be back.

So happy about Nikita! Hope they at least get an order of 13. This rumor of 6 episodes is just stupid – that’s not a TV season, that’s a mini-series. They have to know not a single fan will be happy with 6.
