Tonight’s episode of The CW’s Vampire Diaries ended with Bonnie and Damon sharing a drink… a far cry from their conflicts of the show’s early days.
While a flash-forward in the episode may imply Bonnie’s future is with Enzo, fans of “Bamon” were surely happy to see the this Bonnie and Damon moment in the present day. What’s going on?
“Well, last season Bonnie and Damon’s friendship grew,” Caroline Dries told us at a recent Q&A hosted by The CW. “And what would happen if Damon rubbed off on Bonnie? But that is not what is happening,” she assured. “Bonnie is growing into herself, and Damon is a good sidekick for her, actually! She and he agreed that they want Julian and Lilly to pay the price for what they did to Bonnie’s best friend and Damon’s soulmate,” she continued.
Damon has a strong point of view on how to handle Julian, and Stefan has a completely different point of view, so the brothers are sure to start clashing. But, when it happens, “Bonnie will continue to be supportive of Damon,” Dries tells us.
