Syfy has released the first official trailer for upcoming grindhouse series Blood Drive and in it, we see what could quickly become one of the most visually distinct (and narratively unique) series on American television.
From James Roland (Weeds), Blood Drive tells the story of Arthur Bailey (Alan Ritchson), a former cop forced to take part in a twisted death race where the cars run on human blood. The only ally Arthur has in the race? Grace, a dangerous femme fatale whose volatility and penchant for violence are as much an asset to their chances of survival as they are a threat to their safety.
In addition to Ritchson, Blood Drive stars Christina Ochoa (Animal Kingdom), Thomas Dominique (Undercover), Colin Cunningham (The 6th Day), and Sean Cameron Michael (The Mummy). It joins a drama slate for Syfy that includes The Magicians, The Expanse, and Z Nation.
The series premiere of Blood Drive is set to air Wednesday, June 14th at 10:00 on Syfy.
