In the episode, Michael Britten (Jason Isaacs) tries to reconnect with his son in one world, trying to offer some normalcy in the wake of Rex’s mother’s death. In the other world, Michael is trying to understand the emotions that his grieving wife is going through after losing Rex. In the procedural part of things, Britten and Fez — err, Vega investigate the murder of a homeless man, and Britten’s captain (guest star Laura Innes) shows growing concern over his behavior.
