Deadline is reporting that Once Upon a Time alum Ginnifer Goodwin is set to star in FOX comedy pilot Pivoting.

Goodwin will play Jodie, a mother of three married to a suffocating husband who allows her no room to be herself. She finds the excitement, attention, and affection she’s lacking at home in her kids’ gym teacher.

In addition to the ABC drama, Goodwin’s television credits include Why Women Kill, Big Love, and The Twilight Zone. She joins a cast that includes Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings) as TV producer Amy, an offbeat mother in a less than thrilling relationship of her own with private contractor husband Henry (Tommy Dewey).

Despite FOX releasing a fall schedule and making almost every renewal decision from this season’s crop of shows, their pilots are all said to still be in contention for series orders. The network intends on filming most, if not all, of the shows they have in development, which have all been contracted to supply a backup script to help the network decide what to order to series. Aside from the creative, what gets ordered depends on how much space FOX has given that their live-action scripted won’t return until January and whether a second wave of coronavirus derails production once again.
