Deadline is reporting that Hulu has given a series order to an as-yet-untitled horror anthology.
Based on Nathan Ballingrud’s North American Lake Monsters: Stories, with Mary Laws (Preacher) developing for television, the series will centers on broken people whose encounters with Gothic beasts ranging from fallen angels to werewolves motivate them to attempt repairing their lives.
This will be Hulu’s fourth anthology following Castle Rock, The Act, and Into the Dark. The anthology form has been making something of a comeback in recent years thanks to the likes of
Hulu’s current scripted slate includes the likes of The Handmaid’s Tale, PEN15, Ramy, Shrill, Harlots, Runaways, and Light as a Feather. The streamer will be debuting its Veronica Mars revival, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and The Bravest Knight this summer.
