Paramount Network has set a premiere date for the upcoming third season of hit family drama Yellowstone. The series will officially move from the Wednesday slot it occupied for its first two seasons to Sundays beginning June 21st.
In addition, the network has set a season one marathon for Sunday, May 10th beginning at 1:00, which will also include a sneak peek at the upcoming third season.
Though Paramount has had trouble gaining ratings traction since its rebrand from Spike TV, the network found major success with Yellowstone, which has ranked as cable’s #1 original series for the past two summers. The second season in 2019 clocked in as the #1 scripted series of the summer across cable and broadcast TV in the key P18-49 and P25-54 demos and the most-watched 2019 summer series on cable TV among total viewers.
From Taylor Sheridan (Hell or High Water), Yellowstone follows the Dutton family, owners and operators of the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. Led by patriarch John (Kevin Costner), the Duttons seek to protect their ranch from all-comers, be they land developers, a nearby Indian reservation, or the United States federal government.
Season three is set to add Lost alum Josh Holloway as Roarke Carter, a handsome, charming, shaggy-haired hedge fund manager with ambitious plans in Montana.
