Deadline has revealed two of the actors joining The CW’s Supernatural prequel pilot The Winchesters.
Nida Khurshid (Station 19) will be playing Latika Desai. Here’s how they describe her character: Fiercely intelligent and braver than she believes, Latika Desai is a young hunter-in-training whose research and problem-solving skills help her face her fears in battling dark forces.
Newcomer Jojo Fleites will be playing Carlos Cervantez, and here is how Carlos is described: Easygoing and confident, Carlos is a natural when it comes to fighting demons and a boost of positivity for the team as it takes on more serious threats.
Both roles will be series regulars if the show becomes an ongoing series. The show is a potential contender for The CW’s 2022-2023 TV schedule.
The Winchesters is being produced by the Supernatural trio of Robbie Thompson, Jensen Ackles and Daneel Ackles, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios. Glen Winter (Supergirl) is set as director and executive producer of the pilot. Told from the perspective of narrator Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles), The Winchesters is described as “the epic, untold love story of how John met Mary and how they put it all on the line to not only save their love, but the entire world.”
