1. Vampire Diaries 3.11 “Our Town” (CW)

Synopsis: Although Caroline is in no mood to celebrate her 18th birthday, Elena, Bonnie and Matt surprise her with a small party in an unusual location. Damon and Stefan disagree on the best way to handle Klaus and a reckless Stefan decides to test his theory by taking things to dangerous extremes. Bonnie is concerned when Elena tells her about Jeremy’s new plans. At a Founder’s meeting, Alaric once again runs into Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto), who is in the middle of an argument with her ex-boyfriend, the medical examiner (guest star David Colin Smith). Tyler refuses to go along with Klaus’ latest demand, and is surprised when Klaus seems to accept his decision.

Thoughts: “The New Deal,” like this entire season has been so far, was fantastic!  With revenge being sought from all angles, I cannot wait to see what the Salvatore brothers have in store for Klaus and what he is inevitably planning in return for Stefan.

2.    The Finder 1.01 “An Orphan Walks Into a Bar” (FOX)

Air Time: Thursday, January 12th, 2012 @ 9PM ET

Synopsis: In the premiere of this series about an eccentric, reclusive veteran with an uncanny gift for finding people and things, a teen asks Walter Sherman (Geoff Stults) to locate his father, who went missing after his plane vanished in the Florida wilderness.

Thoughts: If you have ever seen the show Bones before, you more than likely have an idea what The Finder is about and whether it is for you. It seems to have an interesting premise, so I’ll be tuning in. Plus, Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile) is in it, and that is enough for me!

3.    Supernatural 7.12 “Time After Time After Time” (CW)

Air Time: Friday, January 13th, 2012 @ 9PM ET

Synopsis: Sam and Dean tangle with the God of Time (guest star Jason Dohring), who sends Dean back to 1944, where he is immediately arrested by none other than the one and only Eliot Ness (guest star Nicholas Lea). While trying to figure out how to retrieve his brother, Sam is surprised by the reappearance of an old friend.

Thoughts: “Adventures in Babysitting” was a powerful episode filled with fun and powerful emotion. I can only imagine how much fun Dean is going to have in the 40s. Plus, tune in to see who the familiar face that Sam comes across will be. With this show you never really know who is going to pop up!

4.    Grimm 1.08 “Game Ogre” (NBC)

Air Time: Friday, January 13th, 2012 @ 9PM ET

Synopsis: A prison escapee seeks revenge against those who put him behind bars, and his strength and high tolerance for pain makes Nick suspect the fugitive is a monster.

Thoughts: This show has been a lot of fun so far. Though it has its flaws, it has recently been one of my highest DVR priorities (Thanks to Supernatural, of course). I’m really hoping that we get a glimpse into the Grimm family history soon. If there are any Shrek fans out there, this will probably be a nice time to check this supernatural cop drama out.

5.    Once Upon a Time 1.09 “True North” (ABC)

Air Time: Sunday, January 15th, 2012 @ 8PM ET

Synopsis: Feeling their pain from having lived through the same experience, Emma desperately tries to help two homeless children find their birth father before they’re separated and put into the foster care system. Meanwhile, back in the fairytale world that was, the Evil Queen coerces Hansel and Gretel into stealing an important artifact from a blind witch (Emma Caulfield, Buffy the Vampire Slayer).

Thoughts: This show has really surprised me! I love it! I was not a true believer at first, but the characters and unique storytelling have really converted me to become a fan of Storybrooke. Throwing in the chaos demon Anya from Buffy as the blind witch solidifies this episode as a MUST watch!
