Catherine Zeta-Jones is the latest addition to the Netflix series Wednesday which features the iconic Wednesday Addams character from The Addams Family. She will be playing Morticia, Wednesday’s mother, opposite Luis Guzman’s Gomez Addams. Jenna Ortega is playing the lead character.

The project is described as a “coming-of-age comedy” and a “sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery” which charts Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. That’s where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships.

Tim Burton is directing the project which is written by Smallville creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The casting was revealed by Netflix today on Twitter.
