Why Isn’t The Vampire Diaries On In New York City Tonight?

If you’re in New York City looking for the Vampire Diaries episode “True Lies” tonight, you might be wondering why WPIX 11 isn’t showing it.

Unfortunately, despite describing themselves as the flagship CW station, Tribune Broadcasting made a deal with the NFL Network a few months ago to air New York Giants football games, including the Giants vs. Chicago Bears game that is being played tonight (October 10).

Instead, you’ll have to wait until Sunday, October 13 at 8PM for your Vampire Diaries fix. Or, visit The CW’s website or iTunes on Friday, as both should be posting the episode by then.

As far as we know, this only affects the areas that watch TVD on WPIX.
