David Anders, most famous for playing Sark on Alias and Adam Monroe on Heroes, will be appearing in multiple episodes of The Vampire Diaries later this season, as revealed by Michael Ausiello of EW.com.
He wil be appearing as – spoiler warning! – Elena and Jeremy’s uncle, who shares a name with his ancestor, Jonathan Gilbert.
Look for his first appearance in April.
