Avan Jogia signing up to play King Tut in a SPIKE TV miniseries should have been enough of an indicator, and now, per The Hollywood Reporter, the news is confirmed: ABC Family has cancelled Twisted after one season.

AVAN JOGIAThe show starred Jogia as Danny Desai, a young man who was charged with killing his aunt when he was younger. Twisted was popular around these parts, with Shilo Adams’ Twisted recaps being a highlight for people to read.

ABC Family has a number of new projects in the pipeline, which probably didn’t help the case for Twisted’s future.

  1. LOVE THIS SHOW !!! There should be a season 2 especially since season 1 was left with such an enormous cliff-hanger !!! As an adult, I didn’t think this show would be appropriate for my 11 year old, however, I watched the first episode and saw that although the idea of the show is “Twisted” it was viewable by all as opposed to the story line of “Pretty Little Liars” and many other shows that are supposed to be “family orientated” which are not. I also became hooked on watching Twisted every week and I think that ABC Family should rethink their decision to not renew the show because it needs the same “second chance” that Danny Desai got in the show !!!!! You will lose many viewers including my household because as a parent there are very few shows on the network that are “family friendly” and viewable by the younger generation without them having nightmares !!!!!!

  2. Hi, I absolutely loved this show. I’m 21, and a kid at heart. Please renew this show, give it another chance! If anything, cancel Mystery Girls, it’s trash.

  3. Please someone find an official website for abc family so that hopefully this show will be picked up for a second season. The first season was awesome and left so many stories left untold about Green Grove. This was a show that adults loved and teenagers could enjoy as well. I just watched the whole first season on Netflix.
