One of comics’ newest series is already being developed as a possible TV series — and the project, which THR reports as having a “script commitment” for ABC, is being put together by The Originals Executive Producer Michael Narducci for Warner Bros. Television.

unfollow1The comic in question Unfollow from creators Rob Williams and Michael Dowling, which saw its first issue released a little over two weeks ago. The comic is published by DC’s Vertigo imprint, and you can purchase the first issue here. Here’s how THR describes the concept:

The drama explores what happens when a secretive billionaire makes a global announcement — via the social media platform he invented — that he is terminally ill and has decided to bestow his entire fortune to a seemingly random sample of 140 people from around the world. When one of them turns up dead, the others realize that they are all suspects — and the next potential victim.

Should Unfollow go to series, ABC would have the distinction of having properties from both Marvel and DC on their schedule. The concept has a diverse group of characters, and judging from the first issue, makes for a great read.
