Kicking off The CW’s Executive Session at the Television Critics Association press tour yesterday, network president Mark Pedowitz addressed the imaginary Impala in the corner of the room before beginning with his statements.

“I can answer the Supernatural question now,” Pedowitz joked. “As long as the boys want to do it and ratings hold, Supernatural will stay on the air,” he said.

Right now, it is expected that the show will at least go on through the series’ 300th episode which will happen at some point in Season 14. The show is not yet officially renewed for Season 14, but we’ll surely get that sort of news by May. (Also note that Season 13 was not announced as “the final season.”)

Supernatural Season 13 premieres Thursday, October 12 on The CW.
