Entertainment Weekly‘s Michael Ausiello has posted the exclusive scoop that although Supernatural‘s Eric Kripke will be remaining with the series in some capacity, he will be stepping down as the series showrunner, to be replaced by Sara Gamble.
However, “Eric and Bob [Singer] will be working very closely with Sera,” says Ausiello’s source. “They are not abandoning the show.”
Ausiello has also intimated that Eric Kripke is on the verge of signing a deal with Warner Bros. to create a new project. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
