When Maggie moved Jacqueline after learning her location from Cameron, Kirsten’s motivation for stitching was essentially destroyed. Not only did this put indeterminable distance between herself and the only tangible goal that stitching gave her, it was the first incident that betrayed her trust since her temporal dysplasia subsided. Kirsten didn’t have the coping skills to deal with that type of breach of confidence and feeling used for her ability, she wasn’t exactly thrilled with the prospect of more stitching. But what happens when having to stitch into her mom, what was once thought to be a payoff that would never actually happen, turns out to be closer than she thought?
On the season finale of Stitchers, Kirsten and the rest of the team are forced to quickly put together a stitch into Jacqueline when the pod that Stinger’s wife had been stored in gets a bullet hole in it. Technically, this is the first time that the team has had to stitch into someone alive, given that Cameron was clinically dead when he was stitched into, so they can’t exactly fall into the same habits that’ve gotten them to this point. Considering that, as well as Jacqueline likely not having a refractory period, approaching this stitch will take a delicate touch that isn’t exactly easy to come by considering the time crunch, the importance of the moment, and the fact that Daniel Stinger will be playing a role. Yet as much as Kirsten might’ve hoped for the opportunity to stitch into Jacqueline and pull her out of the consciousness purgatory she’s been in for years, how will the team handle the possibility that Jacqueline’s mind might not be the easiest to stitch into?
The season finale of Stitchers airs Monday at 9:00 on Freeform.
Will Kirsten be able to successfully stitch into her mother? What could she find if Jacqueline’s mind is receptive to the stitch? Could Stinger have an ulterior motive that would add danger to an already precarious stitch?
