ABC Family has announced that sci-fi procedural Stitchers has been renewed for a second season.
“Fans are enjoying the camaraderie of the Stitchers team and a lead character that is unapologetically smart, focused and a great role model to young women,” said Karey Burke, exec vp programming and development at ABC Family, “We look forward to seeing more of the Stitchers team tackling diverse cases as they unravel the mystery behind the program’s creation.”
From Jeffrey Alan Schechter (Overruled!), Stitchers tells the story of Kirsten (Emma Ishta), a graduate student who gets recruited by a covert government agency that specializes in probing the consciousnesses of the recently deceased. Once involved in the program, Kirsten not only begins tapping into the emotions she couldn’t have recognized before her participation began, she starts looking at her unusual past in a new light.
In addition to Ishta, Stitchers stars Kyle Harris (The Carrie Diaries), Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Eureka), Allison Scagliotti (Warehouse 13), and Ritesh Rajan (The Last Airbender).
Stitchers airs Tuesdays at 9:00 on ABC Family. You can check out KSiteTV’s coverage of Stitchers here.
