In the hour after Queen Latifah guest stars on the Empire season premiere, Empire’s Jussie Smollett returns the favor on tonight’s Season 2 premiere of Star.

The season premiere is called “The Winner Takes It All” and here’s how FOX describes it:

While still dealing with the repercussions of Hunter’s death, Star goes to great lengths to assure that the group gets a release date for their album. A frustrated Simone struggles with bullying and Alexandra moves in with Derek despite the hardships they’ve experienced. Meanwhile, Carlotta faces difficult decisions when it comes to managing the group, causing the STAR and EMPIRE worlds to collide as Jamal Lyon (guest star Jussie Smollett) is sought for advice in the all-new “The Winner Takes It All” Season Two premiere episode of STAR airing Wednesday, Sept. 27 (9:01-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (LDS-201) (TV-14 D, L, S, V)
