MGM+ and Prime Video released the first official photo today of Nicolas Cage‘s Spider-Noir live action series at Amazon’s annual upfront presentation, and the first Upfronts trailer had surfaced online as well, though unfortunately, the studio seems to have squashed any leak and has taken it offline. So, we apologize, the trailer is no longer a part of this article. But, we do have a picture that was officially released!

The new picture of Cage shows him off in the iconic suit based on “Spider-Man Noir” from Marvel Comics. Spider-Noir tells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.

Prime Video has also announced that Spider-Noir, which is coming out in 2026, will be available in both black-and-white and in color. The cast includes Academy Award®-winning actor Nicolas Cage, Emmy Award®-winning actor Lamorne Morris, Academy Award®-nominated and Emmy Award®-winning actor Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, and Jack Huston. Guest star cast includes Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster. The show is produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video.

Emmy Award®-winning director Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve) is set to direct and executive produce the first two episodes. Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (Marvel’s The Punisher, Shantaram) will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Uziel and Lightfoot developed the series with the Academy Award®-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal. Lord and Miller executive produce for their shingle Lord Miller along with Aditya Sood and Dan Shear. Amy Pascal will also serve as an executive producer via Pascal Pictures. The highly anticipated series will debut domestically on MGM+’s linear channel, then globally on Prime Video the next day in more than 240 countries and territories thereafter.
