Variety is reporting that the Spider-Man Noir series for Amazon is still in the works, and with it, comes news of the series’ showrunners.
Steven Lighfoot, who developed and served as showrunner for the Netflix Punisher series starring Jon Bernthal, will be a co-showrunner for Spider-Man Noir alongside Oren Uziel who is writing the project.
Variety is noting that this series — which at the moment is still “untitled” — will follow an older, grizzled superhero in 1930s New York City. They also credit “an individual with knowledge of the project” with saying the show will be set in its own universe and that the main character will not be Peter Parker.
Spider-Man Noir is one of two Spider-projects already announced at Amazon. The other, Silk: Spider Society, comes from The Walking Dead’s Angela Kang and will focus on the Cindy Moon character from Marvel Comics.
