It’s Official: ABC Picks Up Marvel’s Agents Of SHIELD

After a number of reports last night teasing that it was near, ABC has finally confirmed that yes, the Marvel Comics-based pilot Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. from director Joss Whedon has indeed landed a spot on the 2013-2014 schedule. Was there ever really any doubt?

Hopefully some promotional images are coming.

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. is based in the same “universe” as the Avengers family of movies, and features Clark Gregg from those films as a somehow alive Agent Phil Coulson. It’s one of the most anticipated new projects for the season.
