New Power Rangers Megaforce Today: “Rico the Robot”

A new Power Rangers Megaforce is airing today at 1 p.m/12c on Nickelodeon, and it’s entitled “Rico the Robot”. Here’s how they describe it:

When one of Metal Alice’s robots malfunctions, Emma and the Power Rangers decide to adopt it and teach it the values of friendship and freedom.

Cheesy as it sounds, this type of villain grey area story has been done on Power Rangers in Space and Power Rangers Time Force to very good effect. Will Megaforce live up to those “villains who don’t want to be villains” stories? You can watch a preview clip from today’s Megaforce episode below.
