Deadline is reporting that The Red Line actress Emayatzy Corinealdi has signed on to star in NBC drama pilot At That Age.
From Carla Banks-Waddles (Half & Half), At That Age follows the Coopers, an African-American family whose golden child suffers a catastrophic event that shifts their foundation. If ordered, the series would examine the impact this event has on each Cooper individually, as well as the family unit as a whole, while chronicling the life-altering decisions they face and the secrets that’ve been forced out into the light.
Corinealdi will play overachiever Victoria Cooper-Hargrove, the poised and ambitious middle child of the family.
At That Age is one of six drama pilots in contention at NBC for 2020-21, joining body swapping procedural Echo; Langdon, based on the Dan Brown novel The Lost Symbol and starring Manhattan alum Ashley Zukerman as the famed Harvard symbologist; sinkhole mystery La Brea; Debris, which follows two agents who investigate the wreckage from a destroyed alien spacecraft; and Ordinary Joe, centering on the three parallel lives that splinter off when its main character (James Wolk) makes a pivotal decision at a major life crossroads.
In addition to her role on the CBS limited series, Corinealdi’s television credits include Ballers, Evil, and Hand of God.
