OUR GRADES FOR THE SEASON THUS FAR
Shilo: D+. While there are some positives at the network (particularly The Simpsons, Family Guy, Mondays, and Lethal Weapon), Tuesdays are a mess, Empire is hobbling, fall Thursdays were a mess, and multiple newbies underperformed. Most tellingly, FOX doesn’t really have the pieces yet for a quick turnaround, so it seems like things are going to get worse before they get any better.
Craig: D. As you mentioned, only a few nights are working, and this period of time when FOX doesn’t have an American Idol to rest on is a perfect opportunity to launch the next big flagships for the network. So much of the lineup is fading, though, so I’m curious to look at FOX and reassess in the future.
