Once Xavier discovered the existence of the asteroid, his entire viewpoint toward life changed. Instead of constantly living in fear and making decisions based out of anxiety toward the future, he decided to live for the now and embrace the remaining days of his life. This led to a freer, less encumbered existence that, while satisfying, ultimately made Xavier’s perspective on his research less open-minded; he became more concerned with proving to people that he was right instead of testing and further validating his research. In his mind, there was no way that he could possibly be wrong, but what happens when Xavier, reenergized by a desire to live beyond these next few months, takes it upon himself to resimulate the asteroid’s trajectory?
On tonight’s episode of No Tomorrow, Xavier dives even deeper into his research, hoping to find a scenario where the asteroid misses Earth and he can go on living his life with Evie. He might have thought he was happy once learning of the asteroid’s path to Earth, but Xavier has opened himself up enough that he now realizes how much he was missing living without consequence and roots. Life is all about connection and finding people who love, respect, and challenge you; it’s completely empty without having someone to share in your successes and console you in your defeats. As much freedom as Xavier might’ve had once he began his Apocalyst, meeting Evie made him realize how empty his life was and how all the adventures in the world aren’t anything unless you have someone along for the ride. But even with this newfound sense of purpose, will Xavier be able to give himself and Evie all the time in the world to seize life by the horns? Or will his research continue to tell him that the asteroid is indeed coming and that life as everyone knows it will be destroyed?
Elsewhere on No Tomorrow, Evie looks into a way of keeping the Cybermart gang together after learning that the Seattle branch will be closing.
No Tomorrow airs tonight at 9:00 on The CW.
Will Evie be able to keep her friends together despite the Seattle Cybermart branch closing? How will the end of this job impact how Evie’s plans for the future? Could Xavier’s breakthrough save the world as we know it?
