SHILO: I’m a little less enthused by CBS keeping this lineup together now that they picked up Seal Team, but I understand the thinking. CBS has a fair amount of change on its schedule, so they want Tuesday to be one of their pillars of stability for 2017-18 after making major change this past season; plus, they want to make sure that Bull gets a good ways to syndication before pushing to 10:00 or Sundays, which is where CBS shows tend to go when they retire. Had they used something new at 9:00 and moved Bull or NCIS: New Orleans to another night, I would’ve understood, but their conservative approach here isn’t without merit. However, with NCIS getting up there in years, though, and NCIS: New Orleans still 1-2 scheduling stops before calling it quits, I’d expect the 2018-19 Tuesday lineup to look a bit different than what it’ll appear as in 2017-18.
CRAIG: This is one of those “if it ain’t broke” type nights in television. Eventually they’ll want to move Bull away; for now, I think it needs another year inside its NCIS sandwich to grow even more.
