Deadline is reporting that Marvel’s New Warriors will not be moving forward at Freeform and will be shopped to other outlets instead. The reasoning behind the move is said to be space, as Freeform has no open slot for the series after adjusting its scripted original scheduling to four nights.

In this time of Peak TV that makes it difficult for new series to break through, the Marvel name should be something to attract attention for New Warriors and help its chances at getting a new home. Additionally, Marvel already has a relationship with several key outlets, including Netflix (home to the Defenders universe), Hulu (home to upcoming Runaways), FOX (home to The Gifted), and ABC (home to SHIELD and Inhumans), so it’s likely a matter of when/where for New Warriors gets a new home vs. if it gets one at all.

New Warriors stars Milana Vayntrub (This Is Us), Derek Theler (Baby Daddy), Jeremy Tardy (Dear White People), Calum Worthy (Austin & Ally), Matthew Moy (2 Broke Girls), and Kate Comer (The Comeback).
