The newest broadcast spinoff of NCIS premieres October 14 on CBS. The show, which is titled NCIS: Origins, follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in 1991, years prior to the events of NCIS, and is narrated by original Gibbs actor Mark Harmon. In the series, Gibbs starts his career as a newly minted special agent at the fledgling NCIS Camp Pendleton office, where he forges his place on a gritty, ragtag team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid).

Even though the new show is over a month away at the time this post is being written, CBS has released promotional gallery photos of the Season 1 NCIS: Origins cast. In addition to Austin Stowell as Gibbs and Kyle Schmid as Mike Franks, the series will star Mariel Molino as Lala Dominguez, Tyla Abercrumbie as Mary Jo Hayes, Diany Rodriguez as Vera Strickland, and Caleb Foote as Bernard “Randy” Randolf.
