A new episode of Law & Order airs tonight (April 18) on NBC and in it, Shaw and Riley investigate the death of a prominent chef when he’s stabbed in his own restaurant. Also in this episode, Price has hesitations about prosecuting the defendant after new evidence comes to light. You can see some preview photos below.

“Law & Order,” one of NBC’s most treasured and honored dramas, returns for its 23rd season. The series is known for its unique bifurcated format and will once again examine “the police who investigate crime and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders.”

Hugh Dancy, Camryn Manheim, Tony Goldwyn, Odelya Halevi, Mehcad Brooks and Reid Scott star. Dick Wolf is creator and executive producer. Rick Eid, Pamela Wechsler, Alex Hall, Arthur Forney and Peter Jankowski are executive producers.

“Law & Order” is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, in association with Wolf Entertainment.
