CBS released the trailer for upcoming haunted house comedy Ghosts and in it, we see a young couple whose dream come true turns into something they didn’t expect.
Based on the BBC One sitcom of the same name with Joe Port and Joe Wiseman (New Girl) developing for television, Ghosts centers on Samantha (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), a financially struggling young couple who inherit a beautiful country home at a time when they need it the most. However, when the two move in, they realize that not only is it falling apart inside and out, it’s inhabited by the spirits of many previous residents.
In addition to McIver and Ambudkar, the series stars Rebecca Wisocky (Devious Maids), Brandon Scott Jones (The Other Two), Danielle Pinnock (Young Sheldon), Asher Grodman (Chicago Med), Richie Moriarty (What We Do in the Shadows), Sheila Carrasco (Carrier), and Román Zaragoza (Austin & Ally).
Ghosts is set to air Thursdays at 9:00 this fall on CBS. You can check out the network’s full fall 2021 schedule here.
Will you be watching? Do you think the show is too off-brand to succeed at CBS? If you’ve seen the original series, how will the American reboot compare in terms of humor and storyline?
