The cast and important creative figures from WKRP in Cincinnati reunited last night at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, California, to celebrate 35 years since the show’s premiere in 1979.
Cast members Loni Anderson (Jennifer Marlowe), Jan Smithers (Bailey Quarters), Howard Hesseman (Johnny Fever), and Tim Reid (Venus Flytrap) were joined by show creator Hugh Wilson, directors Jay Sandrich and Asaad Kelada, and moderator Jim Ladd to recall the series that proved to us all that turkeys can’t actually fly. It is planned for the series to have a DVD release with more of the old music restored sometime in the near future from Shout! Factory.
