The producers of Gen V have announced that they will not be recasting Chance Perdomo‘s role of Andre Anderson on the show. Perdomo sadly passed away in a motorcycle accident earlier this year, only days before the first Gen V Season 2 table read had been planned to begin.

“As we continue to navigate the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo, everyone at Gen V is determined to find the best way to pay respect to his memory,” the producers shared on the official Gen V Instagram page.

“We won’t be recasting the role, because no one can replace Chance,” they revealed. “Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May,” adding that “we will honor Chance and his legacy this season.”

This has been a weekend full of news for fans of the franchise that began with The Boysa new Season 4 trailer recently dropped, and it looks like we may see some Gen V favorites there in the meantime as we wait for the second season to be released. If you have not yet seen Gen V Season 1, all episodes are currently available on Prime Video.
